This structure provides a “clean room” condition in a space 150’ x 100’ x 105' high while spacecraft are being tested. The structural test floor in this room is a unique post-tensioned precast concrete panel system, acting as tie-down for a variety of forces including dynamic influences. Phase I of this project included a seismic evaluation report of the original building located at Boeing’s Plant 2 facility. Based on projected refurbishment costs, the building was demolished to the parking level and a new grade-level, structural roof slab was constructed, designed for heavy landscape loads and high capacity truck loads.
