ABKJ’s downtown Seattle office has been recognized for its sustainability efforts, earning the GREEN OFFICE Award from Hines Properties.
ABKJ’s sustainability achievements include:
- Composting and recycling more than 50% of our waste
- Converting all employees to LCD flat screen monitors
- Using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified copy paper
- Using flatware made from cornstarch, which biodegrades in 60 days
- Using bottleless water coolers to provide filtered municipal water
- Installing low-flow aerators on kitchen sink faucets
- Purchasing fair trade coffee brands
- More than 25% of ABKJ employees use mass transit to commute
Hines GREEN OFFICE (HinesGO) is a voluntary, internal program created to measure and reward sustainability within all Hines offices worldwide.
