This unique, 3,000 square foot residence is located in north end of Seattle and west shore of the Puget Sound. The design consists of a spacious entertaining Great Room on the first floor, and a luxurious master suite that captures expansive western views of the Puget Sound. The exterior architectural composition consists of western red cedar vertical siding, clear anodized aluminium panels, corrugated metal siding, and exposed finished concrete. The majority of the structure includes heavy glulam beams and car decking draping the interiors with a warm and comfortable environment while maintaining taller floor to ceiling heights and open living spaces. The form presents well defined horizontal lines and combination of vertical angles to guide attention from ground level to the roof. The interplay of massing and voids reveals functionality while maintaining privacy for the residents.
